Therefore

Therefore I said, “Turn away from me; let me weep bitterly. Do not try to console me over the destruction of my people” (Isaiah 22:4).God wants His people to know this compassion for those outside the body of Christ. We can allow ourselves to be repulsed by the actions of those still in sin, or we can begin to see them through the eyes of compassion as people who desperately need to know the saving grace of Christ. When we see people in this light, we begin to have the compassion to reach out with Christ’s love. Christ’s love helps us reach beyond our normal comfort zones and touch a world that needs to know our Savior’s love.
Compassion for non-Christians should motivate us to reach them for Christ.
