"Immediately he made his disciples get into the boat and go before him to the other side....."( Mark 6:45) God will never send you on a trip that you can't make. That's doesn't mean it will be easy, or that you won't be frightened by the waves. Remember Psalm 23, "Yea,though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me." He doesn't send you He leads you and sustains you. How reassuring! Something else; when you can't see Him, He's still watching over you. Jesus was on a mountain praying to the Father, but the Bible says,"He saw the disciples straining at the oars, because the wind was against them." He sees all your strains, troubles, and your tears today. And don't forget, He is the master of the wind and the waves. There's no situation He can't handle. Listen:The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged."(Deuteronomy 31:8) Finally, before the storm's over, God will be glorified in it, and your faith will grow stronger. Remember, your Father is a lot more interested in your character than He is in your comfort. | | | |
